Harness & Fall Arrest Training
Course Objectives
This Harness Awareness course aims to provide delegates with the ability to identify the intended use of common items of fall protection equipment. Pre-use inspections and the correct fitting, adjustment and useage of a full body harness.
Target Delegates
This Harness Awareness training course is designed for candidates who may be required to use and inspect fall arrest equipment as part of a work activity.
Course Content
Health and Safety Regulations, EN standards and CE marking.
Identify different types of fall arrest / restraint equipment.
How to select the correct form of FPPE.
Inspecting and maintaining equipment.
How to fit and safely use a harness and lanyard.
Hazards and risk assessment.
Anchor points and connectors.
Three categories for safe work at height.
Duration
Half a day
Certification
Upon successful completion the candidate will receive certification valid for up to 5 years.
Course Assessment
This course is continually assessed throughout the duration with a final theory question paper at the end to confirm understanding.
