Telescopic Handler Training
Course Objectives
This course is designed for candidates, novice or experienced, in the safe operation of a Telescopic Handler.
Target Delegates
This Telescopic Handler training course is designed for operators who require practical and theory training and / or assessment on a Telescopic Handler.
Course Content
Health and safety legislation, as it applies to Telescopic Handler Operators.
Theoretical knowledge of Telescopic Handler operations.
Operator's responsibilities, with regards to daily/weekly checks and basic maintenace of the machine.
Familiarity with the equipment and use of Operator's manual.
Safe and best practice in practical operating methods.
Understanding the effects of load, size, weight, gradient and ground conditions regarding stability.
Loading and unloading at height
Loading and unloading of vehicles
A rigorous practical and theory based assessment.
Duration
This course can be between 1-5 days depending on candidate numbers, novice or experienced.
Certification
We can offer either NPORS or Sussex Transport | Training Division accreditation valid for up to 5 years. On achievement, candidates will receive certification and photo ID card.
Course Assessment
The assessment on the final day will involve both theoretical and practical tests where upon the candidate must meet the required standards.
