Sussex Transport made a dedicated ‘wide load’ delivery in one of our HIAB vehicles for a client last month. This involved notifying the authorities in advance and ensuring the vehicle had extra warnings and lights to ensure safe transit.
Our delivery was taking place in Wimbledon– world famous home of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships…. and of course, the Wombles.
Wombles are shy creatures and are very careful to keep their existence secret from human beings. It’s very unlikely that you will ever spot one. They generally have a low opinion of other animals, although it is in their nature to be kind to them. They especially have a poor opinion of humans, with the exception of royalty, especially the Queen. They dislike lies and lying, though on occasion they are known to stretch the truth or omit important details.
Wombles have a sixth sense which allows them to sense green spaces and wildlife – their motto is ‘’Make Good Use of Bad Rubbish’’. They set an example of recycling way back in the 70’s . . . which humans have now cottoned onto in a big way!
Sussex Transport often get involved in moving scrap metal from a clients site and transporting it to recycling depots – or relocating cabins and containers, which need the assistance of a HIAB crane mounted truck to manoeuvre them.
