With mood lighting, electricity and heating, GP Fiona Turton’s stable is a modern day upgrade and can now be rented out for £12 a night so you too can experience the stable sleepover for yourself!
Dr Turton has even got her donkeys in on the manger action to help raise funds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. She said: “This year we wondered if we could do something a little different. We felt that Bethlehem and nativity was appropriate. That’s very much part of our family Christmas. The stable is a real Victorian stable that is actually in use for the donkeys, so a good clean and brush out and new straw was all that was needed. The donkeys live in five star accommodation.”
The stable comes complete with a straw bed for two, tea making facilities, an armchair, a manger and resident Donkey. Shepherd costumes, bath towels and WiFi are available at an additional cost.
