This week we made a delivery of cabins, storage, temporary toilet blocks, TV, lighting and catering equipment to the Open Golf Championship’s 2011 venue.
Billed as one of the world’s greatest golfing events – Sandwich in Kent takes it’s 14th turn to host the Championships – the first time was back in 1894!
The worlds’ greatest golfers will gather to do battle for the famous Claret Jug at “Royal St Georges” where Louis Oosthuizen will be looking to defend the trophy he famously won at St Andrews in 2010.
Once the major port in England, but now two miles from the sea, Sandwich is arguably one of the best preserved medieval towns in the UK. Within the old town walls the many period houses, with their characteristic roofs, are laid out in a street plan which has changed little since the creation of the Domesday book in 1086!
An avid golfer himself, our MD was keen to ensure this sporting delivery was made with planning and ‘FOREsight’ and on ‘PAR’ with our expected service levels!
