Crammed with ideas on growing your own veg, a huge edible garden, floral marquees and pavilions, music, catering facilities, accessories, flower & plant displays, the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is the largest flower show in the world and this years promises to be the best one yet!
The very first Hampton Court Palace Flower Show took place in 1993, with additional sponsorship from the Daily Mail. The Show was a huge success, and the following year was declared to be the best outdoor public event of 1994.
Hampton Court Palace was originally built for Cardinal Wolsey, around 1514, however some 15 years later King Henry V111 got a bit fed up with Wolsey … and knowing that his head may soon be on the chopping block, (as was the favourite method of punishment in those days) offered up his home to Henry, and promptly died a year later!
Famous for its maze, which was planted some time between 1689 and 1695, Hampton Court Palace is now a popular tourist attraction for UK and worldwide visitors year after year!
Sussex Transport will be assisting the Flower Show with cumbersome catering equipment for the hospitality facilities, using one of its dedicated fleet of 7.5t box tail lift vehicles.
Familiar with these sorts of roles, Sussex Transport are always happy to assist with exhibition work up and down the UK.
