Last week saw Sussex Transport making a delivery using one of it’s HIAB vehicles for local specialist carpentry & building firm THE ROUNDWOOD TIMBER FRAMING CO.
The company is the building arm of woodsman and eco-builder Ben Law, whose ‘Woodland House’ brought roundwood timber framing into the public eye when it was shown on Channel 4‘s ‘Grand Designs’.
Ben Law works and lives at Prickly Nut Woods in Lodsworth, West Sussex, where apart from making a living from coppicing, he trains apprentices and runs courses on sustainable woodland management, eco-building and permaculture design.
He is the author of several books, one of which (The Woodland House) details the building of his unique cruck framed home in the woods. The construction of this house was filmed for Channel 4’s Grand Designs programme and proved to be the most popular program of the series! Once again, Sussex Transport and one of its HIAB vehicles were able to assist and successfully transported a large storage container for another happy customer!
