One of our dedicated curtain-sider vehicles delivered to Aldeburgh, in Suffolk this week.
Aldeburgh is a small, quaint village steeped in history and popular with tourists. Found on the River Alde on the coast in Suffolk, the town is popular for it’s Blue Flag shingle beach and fishermen’s huts, where freshly caught fish are sold daily. The internationally renowned Aldeburgh Festival of arts, which takes place at nearby Snape Maltings, was created in 1948 by the resident and acclaimed composer Benjamin Britten.
Particular attractions in Aldeburgh include the Moot Hall which was built in 1650 – where the council still meets to this day, and the Martello Tower which is the largest and northernmost of 103 defensive towers built between 1808 and 1812 to resist Napoleonic invasions. Aldeburgh boasts the best fish and chip shop in the UK – voted by the Observer newspaper in February 2010 Sussex Transport delivers all over the UK as well as Europe and sometimes even as far as Hong Kong!
