Sussex Transport based in Lancing on the South Coast, are proud of their ‘high flying’ efficient service; whether it’s delivering in one of their Sprinter Vans or an abnormal load through the Dartford Crossing with a HIAB.
In the last few weeks our drivers have delivered to Southend, Barrow in Furness, Heathrow, Farnborough and Norwich airports with various loads as requested by their clients.
Whilst Heathrow, Norwich and Farnborough are recognised by most people, less information is known about Barrow in Furness and Southend Airports.
London Southend Airport is a long-established regional airport for South East Essex and is the Eastern Gateway to London. A new airport railway station providing fast and frequent train services direct to Stratford (for Docklands and Canary Wharf) and to central London’s Liverpool Street Station will soon provide its passengers with faster door-to-door times inbound to London than most other London airports – and at lower costs.
Barrow/Walney Island Airport operates two Beechkraft Kingair 250 aircraft which fly to various destinations every weekday, including Manchester, Bristol and Blackpool. Their longest runway is almost 4,000 feet long – that’s over 500 foot longer than Gatwick’s!
