Sometimes we are extremely impressed by the forward planning of our customers. With the ongoing Corona Virus outbreak promising a knock-on effect on China’s output there are two things people have been doing.
1 – Stocking up – so they need more storage – and containers are a good way to get that
2 – Securing their storage container before the stocks deplete as output from china decreases.
Today another ST Containers storage container left us destined for its temporary home at a site in Dartford, the container will be used for the storage of tools and site equipment which are being used on a daily basis by the builders at newbuild commercial unit. Once the unit is built and the builders have moved on the client has already decided that they will likely keep the container for their own overspill storage.
We also have another container booked out for delivery this week this time going to a private individual as opposed to one of our usual commercial customers, the destination for this one will be the leafy suburbs of West Clandon in the Surrey Hills. Classed as an area of outstanding natural beauty, we think that one of our brand new, discreetly labelled (and green) containers will fit in nicely and feel right at home in such beautiful surroundings. The purpose of this container is to store household items of furniture whilst the customer’s property undergoes major renovations – this is an ideal solution as nobody knows how long these renovations will take and having the container on-site means they don’t have to work to any strict deadlines – we will re-collect whenever the job is done!!
We can plan both containers on the same delivery vehicle this enables us to make not only savings on fuel but more importantly helps to reduce our carbon footprint by using either one of our artic Hiabs (dependent on access) or on one of our rigid hiabs and trailers.
If you are thinking of renting a storage or shipping container book now to avoid any disappointment – they are flying out of our yard at a rate of knots…
