We recently placed a collection of our team through Fire Marshall / Warden Training at our headquarters in Lancing, nr Brighton in West Sussex.
Keeping our staff trained and compliant is something we pride ourselves on, the weather was kind and for a collection of our team it was great to see our internal trainer in action.
The Fire Marshall / Warden course is designed to provide the delegates an understanding of the relevant legislations and regulations associated with basic fire saftey awareness in the workplace including the duties and the role of a fire marshall in an emergency situation.
The course content includes both theory and practical elements, covering:
- Fire legislation
- Basic chemistry of fire and its differing classes
- Fire fighting procedures
- Causes of fires and their prevention
- Emergency lighting
- Fixed fire fighting installations
- Evacuation assembly points
- Fire alarms
- Fire hazard
- Safety inspections
- Fire extinguisher recognition and use (theory and practical)
