Last week we received an emergency call from one of our existing clients to swap out a damaged transformer at a substation.
Lucky for the client (and us) we had replacement stock in our secure warehouse and storage site in Lancing, West Sussex.
So we called in our very own Optimus Prime and assembled our heroes (lifting team) ready for the trip West.
The site was located near to St Austell in Cornwall, where the team prepared and successfully executed a full contract lift.
In order to bring power back online as fast as possible, we first lifted the 4ton substation roof off to gain access to the 5ton transformer. Optimus Prime and the team then lifted the old transformer out and replaced it with the new one before lifting the roof back into position.
