Midhurst is home to the Internally renowned Spread Eagle Hotel which is one of only 30 properties to appear both in the 1911 Michelin UK guide – and still in the 2011 publication.
The Spread Eagle Hotel dates back to 1430 and was a favourite with the rich and famous at the time – including Admiral Lord Nelson and Queen Elizabeth 1. More recently it has celebrated being in the same family for 50 years!
