A trip to Somerset during the Summer. We’re not short of volunteers amongst the drivers when these show up. This one however needed more than just one of our truck and crane combos.
The need to lift a 7,000kg GRP Cabinet into position, on a site with extremely restricted access meant that we had to bring in a specialist trailer from one of our partners before we got to work on the lifting and positioning.
Glass-fibre Reinforced Polyester (GRP) cabinets and enclosures are UV resistant, extremely strong and have an impact strength similar to that of metal enclosures. They are also non-corrosive which makes them ideal for installation outdoors, in harsh or remote environments. Perfect for this specific location in South Petherton.
This specific cabinet was a hefty 7 tonnes, measuring 7.4m long, 2.9m wide and 3.5m tall. A big piece of kit – positioned by our team, for a very happy client.
