Sussex transport recently received an enquiry from a client based in Europe who required a company that could undertake a challenging lifting operation for them. The task was to unload and store a range of complete double glazing units and a bespoke patio door frame unit. Then Re-load, deliver and help install the glass in a property with stunning views located in the South downs country park. It was a site where a normal articulated vehicle and crane couldn’t gain access – so using our Rigid 26t HIAB fleet we were perfectly placed to gain access and deliver the goods.
We took on the complete lifting operation challenge which involved our appointed person specifying safe and secure vehicles, equipment and personnel. This was needed along with a full set of risk assessment/method statements that meet the clients demanding needs and time frame.
We offloaded and stored the units at our Warehouse facility at lancing, then delivered to site where upon our lifting team safely lifted and positioned the glass units.
