We were recently requested to assist in the moving into place of some balcony frames to a newly built property in South Norwood, London. This leafy suburb is more commonly known for the home of Football team Crystal Palace as well as being a mere 10 miles from the centre of London.
This job was a Contract Lift, meaning that all risk assessments and method statements were completed and in place by our team prior to the lift commencing. Due to the location, we were unable to carry out the lift from a nearer and easier residential street, so this required our team to manoeuvre a hiab with a fly-jib attached into a confined space in a private area.
Our Artic Crane vehicle was able to collect and deliver the goods to the site, detach from its trailer in order to be positioned correctly and safely for the lifting of the balcony frames. The crane and jib lifted the frames up and over the building successfully for the awaiting construction team.
